Ross Jamieson - Chairman

With a lifetime involvement in playing or administering sport, including Rugby, Surf and Multi-Sport, Ross’s involvement with the facility at Kilbirnie Park spans almost 20 years. Ross had the privileged to project manage the concept, design and construction of the venue from a local Rugby club, to the active sporting and community hub it is now. A previous owner of Williment Sports Travel, and now the owner / operator of BCD Travel in Wellington. Ross is a Director of the Wellington Rugby Football Union and Hurricanes Professional Rugby Team. Ross is married to Joanne, with three active children, two of whom are working / studying in Auckland, with their last at home with them still in Hataitai.

Jamie Delich - Secretary

Jamie’s has been involved in the planning, development and operation of sport and recreation facilities and programmes for over 40 years. Most of his employment has been in local government of which 25 years with the Wellington City Council before moving to his current role as Spaces and Places Lead for Sport New Zealand. Throughout this time, he has also volunteered in various capacities as a coach, administrator and advisor. Jamie is married to Jill, they have two daughters and are both currently enjoying being grandparents and living at Waikanae Beach on the Kapiti Coast.

Fiona Martin - Board Member

Having grown up in a house overlooking Kilbirnie Park, it is a place that will always feel like home to me. I am privileged to have been elected on the inaugural Board of thehub. I work as the Integrity Manager at New Zealand Rugby and I am also a Director of Parents Centre New Zealand. I have a busy home life with a supportive husband, two young children and a gorgeous german shepherd.

Shannon Williams-Moananu - Board Member

I’m Shannon and my background is in education, hospitality and events. I have been a part of the eastern and southern suburbs community most of my life and I am committed to creating positive opportunities for us all. I’m especially interested in helping young people discover their potential and become their best selves.

Fairul Ghani - Board Member

Fairul is passionate about Governance and making a positive difference in the community. He is an experienced public servant with over 10 years’ service in the health and social services sectors. He is also active in coaching and mentoring young professionals, and has been involved in supporting young Graduates transition into the public service.

Kristine Ford - Board Member

Kristine is the newest member of the Toitū Pōneke Board and acts in an ex-officio capacity representing Wellington City Council. Kristine works as the Community Recreation Leases lead with Parks, Sport and Recreation.  Kristine has worked in a variety of positions within the community and health sectors and was on the Board at Refugee Trauma and Recovery Aotearoa. In her spare time Kristine loves to ride bikes of all descriptions, on all terrains!
