Shayal Ram – 2019 Student Representative Sports Captain of St Catherine's College I absolutely love the whole idea of health and fitness. I believe it's an important aspect of life. I live by the quote "educating the mind without educating the heart is like no education at all". Kindness, optimism and wellbeing are very important to me. As sports Captain for 2019, I want to encourage girls to find a side to physical activity in which they are passionate about, I discovered a sport in which I am so passionate about and I want others to feel the love you can have for a form of physical activity. Last year I fell in love with boxing, and oh boy! It's the best thing ever! It is truly challenging mentally and physically, but I just can't get enough of it! I live with my brother and my amazing super mum. My plans after college is to study along the lines of health and fitness. I'm going towards personal training, because I want to help people reach their goals, and help to make people realise there is more potential within them.
